# Airgeek: See The Air

Airgeek is an air quality sensing platform developed and manufactured by 0x2A. It's built around the following sensors to achieve ultra-low-power operation without sacrificing accuracy:

## Variants

The device is made in two variants:

1. Airgeek A1 is a complete personal air quality monitoring device designed for homes and offices. It was unveiled at embedded world 25. A crowdfunding campaign for the device will start soon.

2. Airgeek A1M is a module targeting OEMs who would like to incorporate state-of-the-art air quality sensing into their own applications.

## Features (A1/A1M)

• Highly accurate, repeatable readings. Our devices provide reliable data, not random numbers.

• High power efficiency. The devices can run on a single high-quality off-the-shelf AA battery for a year or more. In industrial set-ups with two Li–SOCl₂ batteries, the stamina can be extended to up to five years.

• Built-in connectivity. Airgeek modules communicate via NFC, BLE, ZigBee and Matter over Thread. All standard wired interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, etc.) are available for integration within the host system.

• Compact form factor. The entire device fits into 78×25×15 mm, making it easy to integrate into your existing designs.

• Maintenance-free operation. The device has no fans or other moving parts and consequently requires no maintenance.

• Long design life-time. The devices are designed to have a life time of ≥10 years of uninterrupted operation.

• European value chain. Our devices are designed and manufactured in Prague, Czechia. 95 % of our BoM is made in the European Union.

## The story behind Airgeek

In late 2023, David tried to buy an air quality monitor for his bedroom. He was so dissatisfied with existing devices that he decided to build his own. His two main requirements were high accuracy and long battery life.

The task turned out to be much more difficult than expected. To get access to the best sensors, NDAs had to be signed; for that, a company was needed. So David started one with Ondřej and without even knowing it, we were in the air quality business.

The company, 0x2A, is focused on bringing innovative electronics to life. Our first product, Airgeek A1, is the realization of David's original desire for a high-quality personal air quality monitor.

Along the way, we realized that our design goes far beyond the home market. The power efficiency allows for a wide range of power supply schemes. The high-quality sensors allow even for very demanding industrial applications. This is why we also offer our electronics as an OEM module, Airgeek A1M.
